PURSUING KING'S FAVOR

Esther 7:3 Then Queen Esther answered, "If I have found favor with you, Your Majesty, and if it pleases you, grant me my life—this is my petition. And spare my people—this is my request.
Haman, who enjoyed in the king's favor as his most powerful official, was excited with the invitation to feast again with Queen Esther and the king. However, in the previous day he had additionally
persevered of the shame of openly honoring his enemy Mordecai, who had likewise found favor with the king (Esther 6).Soon Haman would have an even greater surprise.
This man who was plotting to annihilate every one of the Jews in Persia had no clue about that Queen Esther was additionally a Jew and a relative of Mordecai. Dreading a king's power is smart, even wise. Yet, dreading the God who has control over body and soul is more wiser (Matthew 10:28).
