SCRIPTURAL READING:   Esther 5:1-2

RHEMA:  ESTHER 5:1-2

1 On the third day Esther put on her royal robes and stood in the inner court of the king's palace, in front of the king's quarters, while the king was sitting on his royal throne inside the throne room opposite the entrance to the palace.

2 And when the king saw Queen Esther standing in the court, she won favor in his sight, and he held out to Esther the golden scepter that was in his hand. Then Esther approached and touched the tip of the scepter.

THEME: How to Approach the King of kings

INSIGHT:

In the beginning of this chapter said that on third day Esther got up and prepare herself putting on her royal robe to appear the king.

She appeared to the king putting on her royal robe. As believer also, when we approach to the King of kings we also have to put on our robe of righteousness through the righteousness and blood of Jesus. In his righteousness we have an access to the throne of God. Through his blood and righteousness we gain favor of the living God, the King of kings.

It's been 30 days that the king had not called Queen Esther .It might be during those days the king sleep other women from his kingdom.. In a natural world, 30 days of silence might be a sign of a coldness affection towards her. But in the chapter, it tells us that when the king saw her standing in the courtyard,  his mind was inclined to her, and she appeared very amiable and pleasing to him. No doubt , it was the hand of  God that touches the king.

The thing that the king held out rhe golden scepter to the queen tells that he was pleased to her, accepts her appearance and that there will be no harm to her even she violated the laws. That moment , it was the hand of God working in the situation. And Esther as a sign of obedience to him, acknowledging his kindness and giving thanks to what he did she touches the top of the scepter.

This passage is an evidence of God's provision in response to prayer and fasting. In response of Esther's willingness to lay down her life to see the king , she receives favor from the king and the king invited her in. She found favor in his eyes because God did it. She appeared to the king to intercede her own people for the upcoming judgement day. Same as to believer, everyday we will approach to God to intercede our love ones, friends, and relatives on judgement seat of Christ.

APPLICATION:

Everyday in life we will come boldly to the throne of God robe with a royal robe of righteousness and blood of Jesus

MEMORY VERSE:   Hebrews 10:22

let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
